About Plue/Manzanares Tree
Please sign in to see more. Well I was adopted and found.I have been building this family tree to answer two questions that I have had. Who am I and Where did I come from? My Birth mother's side explores Spanish and Native American backgrounds, while my birth father's side explores English and more European background. So I am in between.
Also note that while I try to verify each entry, I will make mistakes. When and where I see there is a question, I will note it. I am not proving in order to get into a society or club, but trying to prove where I came from.
A message about where I find this info. I spent a couple of years looking, browsing, poking around various genealogy websites, finding wrong connections, even purposeful false records, etc.. So I think that You and I were not there when most of these people lived, so we can only go by as true of records that can be found. To keep it short, most of what I record comes from either wikitree.com, or geni.com. the exception will be with my hispanic family. Because most Hispanics in America come from New Mexico, I use the New Mexico database. https://www.hgrc-nm.org/webtrees/index.php?ctype=gedcom&ged=Great%20New%20Mexico%20Pedigree%20Database
These show to have more checks and balances than typical crowd sourced sites.
Note: I had put a long Linage into "Deacon" Edmund Rice, only to learn it is not factual. According to the Edmund Rice (1638) Organization, Henry Thomas Rice is ***not*** the father of "Deacon" Edmund Rice, therefore this Henry was not Edmund's brother.
"Several authors of published works and computer data sets have claimed names for Edmund Rice's parents. Regrettably they have not given sources that would assist in definitive genealogical research. For example, the Ancestral File and International Genealogical Index, two popular computer data sets widely distributed by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, offer parent candidates that include: Henry Rice and Margaret Baker, Henry Rice and Elizabeth Frost, Thomas Rice and Catherine Howard, and Thomas Rice and Elizabeth Frost ...
So, the linage from him back in time is not correct. I will look over time to find correct linage, but it will take much time.
Note: The Auchinleck line is completely confusing. The dates seem to be incorrect, but I will leave them, so (uncertain)
Note: Juan Ulibarri 1670-1716 was said to not be able to produce children, so he adopted an Apache boy as his son. Thus Juan Ulibarri(1690-1756), was an adopted Apache Indian. So Our bloodline, or Biologic line goes to here, while our famiy line goes beyond.
Note: I have uncovered another questionable connection. I have Susanna Harlow b. 1704 married to Robert Priddy b. 1695. While these seem to be correct, Susanna's Parents are in question. I will be researching this.
Note 2: I have what I believe to be Susanna's family correct. I removed her ancestors. and starting the corrected ancestors. darn...
Note: I now have the (supposed) correct parents of Bethiah Carpenter.
Note: it is listed a William Wing Salisbury married to a Bethiah Carpenter. This turns out to be a FAKE ancestry record. William is fine, don't know who he married.
Note: Holcomb family. beginning with Thomas Holcomb b.1605, the Immigrant who first came to America, This linage has finger pointing, genealogist fighting and arguing with each other all the way back to the time of the crusades. I choose no sides, just put into the linage as is found.
James Plough. son of Pvt. Aldirt Plough Jr. While I think this is correct, James is difficult to track down. I have the marriage certificate, but not the direct tie to his family. --Newer Info --
When I came to James, I was unsure of where to go, but I did have a hint of his father, so I continued until I came to the first Plue, or Ploeg, that came to America. He was from The Netherlands. So I went with that believing I have Dutch background from my birth fathers side. Early in 2021 I submitted a Y-DNA sample to test with Familytreedna.com, and my exact match haplogroup for my paternal side is G-BY82379 absolutely from The Netherlands. This leans to more confidence with this line.
New updated Info: I put the image as a photo on James Plough which is from Ancestry, I am not going to court with it, but it does lend credit to the line,
A little about my being adopted. It was made known from the beginning that I was adopted, so I always knew. My adopted parents and the entire adopted family loved me very much and never made me feel anything other than being a member of the family. So much so that they were always supportive of me finding out my birth family. Since being found, I have learned that when the birth family knows there is a child out there, there is a warm and happy reunion waiting. If not, it will be slower. I cannot push the issue, I just have to be open and accepting.
I have discussed with both the Adopted and Biological families, that I know who my Mom and Dad were, (they have sadly passed, as well as my Biological Mom and Dad) and that this is not a replacement family, rather an additional family. |
